How to delete a Status Post in Whatsapp

WhatsApp Status is a new feature added by whatsapp which you can see in Instagram or messenger or Facebook. It is not actually new on whatsapp. When you add a feature on whatsapp, it will be live for only 20 hours then it will be gone, people mainly use this mainly for showing their best photos or videos just like as Facebook posts



  • Manually deleting a status update


Status updates automatically disappear after 24 hours. You can also manually delete a status update, which removes it from your contacts' phones.


  • To manually delete a status update:



  1. Go to the Status screen.
  2. Tap the three dots next to My status > tap and hold your status update.
  3. Tap the trash can icon > Delete.
